How to Measure Your Pet
Coco & Pud Sizing
Please make sure you measure and double check the sizing of your pet before making a purchase. Our sizing may also differ from other brands on the market.
Size charts are available on each Coco & Pud product listing.
- Ensure you double check the sizing of each product against your pets’ measurements (refer below for how to measure your pet).
- Measure your pet while standing.
- Size charts vary on each item and/or design.
- Please refer to the specific size chart prior to purchase as your pet may be a different size for each product.
- Each item and/or design is handmade and may be manufactured slightly different.
We recommend measuring your pet to purchase best-fit sizes using the size charts on the specific product and/or design pages.

Best Practice
Sweaters - Measure along the pets back while it is standing, from the collar to the base of the tail. The knits allow stretch, but each sweater design measures differently. We cannot guarantee chest measurements will fit all dogs. A medium on one sweater style might be a large in another. Please refer to the size chart on the individual sweater listing.
Dog Collars - Measure your dogs’ neck allowing room two fingers for comfort. The collar sizing should leave enough room for buckle holes and over-hang. Select the next size up if in doubt.
Cat Collars - Please note the sizing on the size chart refers to collar dimensions. We recommend measuring your cat and referring to the measurements listed on the size chart. Cat collars need to be firmly fitted. Allow room for one to two fingers between the collar and the cat for comfort.
Dog Harnesses - Each harness has its individual size chart. Measure the widest part of the neck, where the collar or harness naturally sits. Also measure the widest part of the rib cage, behind the front legs to determine chest measurements. Finally, measure your pups head to make sure the garment fits comfortably around the neck, adding a centimetre or two for comfort. Please refer to the size chart before making your purchase. Select the next size up if in doubt.
Cat Harnesses – The fit of this harness should be snug. Allow two fingers between the harness and the cat. Use the sliding adjusters to lengthen or shorten the loops individually until you are satisfied the cat is both comfortable and secure. Allow your cat to get used to the harness while indoors. Your cat might escape if the harness is too loose.
Waterproof Dog Coats - These items run large. As such, we recommend sizing down. The measurement provided is from the collar along the pets back to the base of the tail while pet is standing. We recommend a 30cm size if your dog normally measures 35cm in a sweater or along their back.
